SENSITIVE SWIM SESSION

Our ‘Sensitive Swim’ session is tailored for children aged 2 to 4 years old. The 30 minutes session runs on a Wednesday afternoon at 4.25pm (term-time only). Sometimes conventional group sessions can be too overwhelming for children who are sensitive to their surroundings. These classes can be too busy, too loud, fast paced and this can be stressful for both parent and child as they try to work with various instructions of a larger mainstream group setting. Our free flowing session is designed to support you and your child’s individual needs in a calming environment where stimulation and instructions are kept to a minimum. Both parent and child can then take the time to enjoy the aquatic playground together learning new skills at their own pace. We create an environment where the parents and children are not under pressure to conform to a set target, sometimes it’s just an achievement to get into the pool and feel safe. Just like our group sessions we still provide a fun environment where we support parents in teaching their toddlers and pre-schoolers water safety and the confidence to aid their pathway to independent swimming. These classes are small with no more than 5 parent / child pairs in a class and up to 2 parent / carers can attend these sessions.

PRICE

Our price for a 30 mins ‘Sensitive Swim’ session is £14. We do not operate on a ‘pay per class’ basis. Payment is required in advance of joining the sessions for the half-term block.

WHY US?

“Alfie has been with Carla for nearly a year now, we started off with individual lessons and have moved to the Sensitive Swim session at Oakham, these are fantastic as Alfie is uncomfortable with too much noise and bits going on, the smaller group size has really helped Alfie gain confidence in the water!! Not only is he gaining confidence but he is most importantly learning to be safe in the water and getting in and out safely, we can't wait for next term to start, it's definitely our favourite day if the week!!!” Brett Mitchell - July 2023
